Penn State Berks hosts second annual Garba Night, Nov. 16

The Penn State Berks International Klub will host its second annual Diwali Garba Night on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center. The event will include Garba dancing, music, refreshments and crafts. This event is free and open to the public but advanced registration is required.

Prepare to 'Shake it Off' with the Penn State Berks 'ERAS TOUR' on Nov. 2

Penn State Berks is holding a free public event, the “Eras Tour (Penn State Berks Version)” on Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Perkins Plaza. The event is held in junction with the course “Taylor Swift, Gender, and Communication,” offered this fall. Admission is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.

A classically trained, crossover string quartet composed of four female musicians, ATLYS is well known for their incredibly passionate and interactive performances. They will bring their unique sound to Penn State Berks on Nov. 13.

Actor and singer-songwriter Bryan Terrell Clark, best known for his starring role as George Washington in "Hamilton: An American Musical on Broadway," will visit Penn State Berks at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium.

Berks students get the Beatles into their lives in NYC

Some 20 students enrolled in the Penn State Berks Beatles honors course turned into day trippers on Sunday, April 8, traveling to New York City for a walking tour of Fab Four historic points "here, there and everywhere"; a presentation by one of the world’s leading Beatles experts and enthusiasts; and a visit to the New York Public Library’s current 1960s U.S. history and culture exhibit.

Hannah Hart to 'make some noise' at Penn State Berks on April 27

Hannah Hart, LGBTQ advocate, internet personality, comedian, author and actress will “Make Some Noise” at Penn State Berks at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. The talk will be held on the the National Day of Silence, a day of activism to spread awareness of voices (of LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities) that are made silent due to harassment, bullying, prejudice, and discrimination. The talk will be followed by a NOISE concert featuring The Cabaret All-Stars Drag Entertainers and the We Are Reading dancers at 8 p.m. in the same location. Both events are free and open to the public.
